I've been wearing these wool socks for a few weeks now, and the cotton lining really does make them feel softer against the skin than I expected. The mid-calf height is perfect for keeping my ankles warm under boots without being too bulky.

They feel pretty warm, but the ankle height is a bit lower than I expected for mid-calf socks. The cotton lining is nice and soft though.
